The Huskers scored the first seven points of the contest before Crozon lifted the lid with a 3-pointer to make it 7-3. Nebraska was able to extend to a 14-point lead (19-5) as five straight points (a lay-in and 3-point play) by Nawahine brought Utah back within 11 (19-8). Nawahine and Boclair led the way with five points apiece in the opening half, while Fatuesi grabbed four rebounds.
The Utes scored 15 of the first 22 points of the second half as Crozon drained a pair of 3-pointers to cut Utah's deficit to 13 (45-32). Utah connected on three of its first four attempts from distance and six of its first 10 shots. Unfortunately, Utah could get no closer than 13 as Nebraska came away with the 66-43 victory.
No. 15/16 Nebraska (4-0) was led by a 25-point, nine-rebound effort by Emily Cady.
The Utes close out their four-game road trip at the Nugget Classic in Reno, Nev., next weekend, starting Friday at 6:30 p.m. PT against Ole Miss in the Lawlor Events Center. Saturday's contest will be against either Portland or Nevada at either 2 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. PT, depending on Friday's results.
