Senior guard Cheyenne Wilson scored seven points, including four free throws, while Paige Crozon scored five points after a 3-for-6 shooting effort from the floor. Freshman center Joeseta Fatuesi turned in six points and grabbed five rebounds.
The Utes hit two of their first three shots as a lay-in and tip-in by Wicijowski as the game was tied three times (the last coming at 6-6) but USU was able to inch out to a nine-point lead, 17-8. Boclair posted up for a lay-in and Fatuesi converted a putback to bring Utah within five (17-12). Utah deficit was five (20-15) but the Aggies were able to push their advantage back to nine (24-15). Wilson knocked in a 3-pointer and Rodriguez came up with a steal and lay-in to help Utah close the half on a 5-0 run, but the Utes still trailed 30-27. Wicijowski made five of her eight shots in the first half for 10 rebounds to go with eight rebounds, but held a 21-18 edge in first-half rebounds over the Aggies.
After a pair of Rodriguez free throws to start the second half, to extend Utah's run to 7-0 and pull within a point, 30-29. Utah pulled within a point twice (32-31, 34-33) and a fast break Crozon lay-up gave the Utes a 35-34 edge, their first lead since the 4-2 mark one minutes and 23 seconds into the game. Wicijowski buried a jumper and Boclair converted two straight lay-ins to put Utah back in the lead as part of a 12-4 run that put the Utes ahead by as many as seven (47-40). The Aggies could get no closer than three points the rest of the way as they went on to claim the 63-57 victory.
