WINTER PARK, Colo. - Kristiina Rove led the Utah ski team with a third-place finish at the RMISA giant slalom qualifier on Monday, Feb. 3.
The RMISA qualifier does not count towards an individual meet, but counts towards NCAA qualification.
Rove has seven top-five finishes this year. Also in the women's race, Teagen Palmer and Lauren Samuels tied for 11th. Jaime Dupratt and Ana Kobal did not finish their first runs.
The men were led by Andy Trow, who finished 11th. Eian Sandvik came in 22nd while Joergen Brath did not finish his first run.
Utah was skiing without Chloe Fausa and Mark Engel, who were participating in NorAm races in Stowe, Vermont.
Utah returns to action at the New Mexico Invitational, Feb. 7-8.
