CHULA VISTA, Calif. - The University of Utah golf team posted a 608 (311-297) Monday at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic at the San Diego Country Club to place 10th. Three Utes tied for 35th with six-over scores of 150.

Senior Daniel Engle posted a 79 in the first round, then went one-under in the second round. Fellow Senior Ben Bankhead scored back-to-back 75s, while sophomore Jonathon Thomas swung a 76 and a 74.

Senior Casey Halliday tied for 67th with a score of 159 (82-77) while sophomore Steven Croft round out Utah's lineup with a score of 162 (81-81) to tie for 75th.

The Utes return to the San Diego Country Club Tuesday for the third and final round of the San Diego Classic. Live scoring will continue to be available at golfstat.com.
