CRESWELL, Ore. - The University of Utah golf team is currently in 9th place at the Duck Invitational at Emerald Valley Golf Club after the first and second rounds Monday. The squad posted a 20-over-par score of 596 (295-401) while sophomore Jonathon Thomas tallied a two-over 146 (73-73) to tie for 15th.
Senior Casey Halliday and junior Jack Maerki both scored seven-over-par 151 to tie for 48th. Senior Daniel Engle is tied for 59th with a 153 (75-78), while fellow senior Ben Bankhead swung a 156 (81-75) to tie for 68th.
The Utes return to the Emerald Valley Golf Club Tuesday for the final round of the Duck Invitational with an 8:30 a.m. PT shotgun start. Live scoring will continue to be available at golfstat.com.
