CRESWELL, Ore. - The University of Utah golf team swung a 903 (295-301-307) to finish 10th Tuesday at the Duck Invitational at the Emerald Valley Golf Club. Sophomore Jonathon Thomas continued to lead the Utes in standings after posting a three-over 75 in the third round to finish in the top 20.
Thomas tallied a score of 221 (73-73-75) to tie for 15th. Senior Casey Halliday was 10 over for the tournament at 226 (76-75-75), which tied him for 37th. Junior Jack Maerki tied for 51st with a score of 229 (71-80-78), while senior Daniel Engle posted a 232 (75-78-79) to tie for 63rd. Rounding out Utah's lineup was senior Ben Bankhead, who placed 77th with a 237 (81-75-81).
The Utes next appear April 7-8 at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Scottsdale, Ariz.
