“It was another really good day,” Utah head coach Kyle Kepler said. “We had a lot of really good races and efforts. I was really pleased with just about everybody and how we executed certain things.”
True freshman Sarah Feeny earned 13th in the mile with a time of 4:48.17, followed by a three second personal best by Nikki Rietz (4:55.45) in 19th and Andrea Chavez (5:02.31) in 33rd. Chavez also raced in the 800-meter run, recording a time of 2:19.01 for 37th.

“Overall, I thought we had a very successful weekend,” Kepler said. “It was great to see how the throwers performed in Idaho. We will get back on the road to Albuquerque next week and see if we can keep building. We had a lot of quality performances this weekend and we will keep getting better and hopefully get everyone healthy. I think we have a pretty good group here and we will have a pretty successful season.”
The Utes will return to action next Friday at the New Mexico Classic.
