SALT LAKE CITY - Another Utah volleyball signee, Torre Glasker, is receiving postseason accolades following her outstanding senior season campaign at Bingham High School.
Glasker, who signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Utes next fall, has recently been named a Utah Class 5A First Team All-State honoree and was also named to the Salt Lake Tribune's All-Tribune Team.
"Torre is deserving of the many awards that she is receiving," said Utah head volleyball coach Beth Launiere. "She is a tremendous athlete, player and leader, and has demonstrated that throughout her high school career. She is one of the best all-around players in the state of Utah and we are so excited that she will be a part of our program."
According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Glasker tallied 407 kills and 41 service aces this past season. Glasker was a key component to helping lead the Miners to the state championship semifinals.
Glasker was also named to the Deseret News 5A All-State Team, earning both First Team honors and being named the Class 5A MVP.
Glasker's 409 kills ranked fifth most in the state of Utah, according to MaxPreps.com, while her 4.3 kills-per-set average ranked ninth in the state. She tallied a 49 percent kill ratio her senior season at Bingham High. She helped lead her squad to a 27-5 overall record, while also posting 23 total blocks, 231 digs and posted a .331 hitting percentage.
Glasker will graduate from high school later this month and will then enroll at Utah in January.
