SIMI VALLEY, Calif. – The University of Utah men's golf team returns to action this coming Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 17-18, at the 21st Annual Bill Cullum Invitational at Wood Ranch Golf Club.
Joining Utah at the event will be tournament host Cal State Northridge, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, CSU Bakersfield, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Pacific, Seattle, Southern Utah, UC Irvine, UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, Utah State and Weber State.
Wood Ranch Golf Club will play at par 72 and 6,849 yards for the event, which will feature 54 holes. Teams will play 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday.
This will mark Utah's first time to compete at the Cullum Invitational. LMU returns to the field as last season's defending champion, while Southern Utah's Fidel Conception won medalist honors at the event last season.
Utah is coming off three consecutive top-three finishes to open the 2016-17 season. The Utes took second place at the season-opening Itaini Quality Homes Collegiate (Sept. 12-13) then followed with a third place finish at the Mark Simpson Invitational (Sept. 26-27). Utah most recently took second place at the OGIO Utah Invitational (Oct. 3-4)
Utah will feature a line-up consisting of freshman
Mitchell Schow, sophomore
Kyler Dunkle, senior
Gentry Hicks, along with freshmen
Jordan Costello and Peyton Hicks.
