Pletcher and Turley Fall in ITA Doubles

Pacific Palisades, Calif.--Doubles duo Margo Pletcher and Brianna Turley represented University of Utah women's tennis in the main doubles draw at the ITA All-American Championships in Pacific Palisades, California.
In the first round, Pletcher and Turley faced Zoe Katz and Gabby Smith of USC. Pletcher and Turley came up short against the Trojan pair and lost the match, 8-3. Pletcher was also selected to compete in the pre-qualifying singles round earlier in the tournament, where she fell to Olaya Garrido-Rivas of TCU in a tough three-set battle, 6-3, 5-7, 6-4 on Oct. 1.
Utah women's tennis will be back in action on Oct. 12-16 for the ITA Regionals held at the McKinnon Family Tennis Stadium in Albuquerque, N.M. The Utes will join Colorado, UNLV, BYU, Denver, and host New Mexico at the event.Â
