SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah diving team will be competing in the Zone E Championships hoping to qualify for the NCAA Championships later this month. Action will begin this Monday, March 7 and run through Wednesday, March 9 in Flagstaff, Ariz.
Competing on the men's side are senior Jacob Crayne, junior Josiah Purss and freshmen Connor Cain and Daniel Theiault. On the women's side, junior Amanda Casillas and sophomores Lauren Hall and Nicole Ford will be competing this week.
Last year, Crayne qualified for both the one-meter and three-meter event. He finished fifth in the one-meter event at the Pac-12 Championships, tallying a total score of 706.25. While on the three-meter, he took third with a total score of 781.30. He finished 13th on the platform event (504.20).
At the 2015 NCAA Championships, Crayne was named an All-American on the one-meter event. He took 14th tallying 355.80 points. On the three-meter, he took 21st with a total score of 369.45.
Casillas finished 32nd (250.75) on the three-meter event last season, 23rd on the one-meter (256.85) and 11th on platform (473.50). Hall took 26th on the three-meter with a total score of 266.70 and on the one-meter, she took 25th (254.60).

Competition begins this Monday with the women's one-meter prelims at 11 a.m. with finals at 2:40 p.m. The men's three-meter prelims begin at 5:40 p.m. with the finals at 7:25 p.m.
