FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Utah Women's Swimming wrapped up competition at the Pac-12 Championships with some more strong showings and record-breaking performances.
Utah finished seventh overall, tallying 484 points. The Utes topped Washington State (334) and Oregon State (237). Stanford came away with the title with 1587.5 points. Cal took second (1392) with USC (1250.5), Arizona (1075.5) and UCLA (1,002) following. ASU took sixth (709.5).
Utah's best event of the weekend turned out to be the 200 breast with two competitors finishing in the top-10.
Genevieve Robertson placed sixth with a new PR of 2:10.33, the second-fastest time in Utah history. The current record holder in the event,
Stina Colleou finished eighth in 2:10.74.
Utah had three swimmers make the finals in the 200 back.
Mallori Allen placed 16th overall with a PR time of 1:58.00 in the prelims, the third-fastest time ever.
Cassidy Stein was 19th with the fourth-fastest time ever 1:58.11 and
Christina Pick improved three seconds on her top time of the season, wrapping up in 2:01.84.
Jordan Anderson continued her strong weekend by winning the "C" final of the 200 fly in 1:58.16. It was a new PR for the sophomore and moved her into third place on the Utah charts.
Christina Pick improved on her top time of the season by four seconds and finished 20th with a time of 2:00.45. It's the sixth-fastest time ever in the event by a Ute.
Isabella Kearns placed 21st after swimming 2:00.69 in the prelims, a two-second improvement on her season best.
Dorien Butter won the "C" final of the 100 free, moving up to third on the Utah record ledger with a time of 49.40.
Kat Wickham shaved 10 seconds off her fastest time of the season in the 1650 free and placed 16th in 16:39.76.
On the boards,
Amanda Casillas finished 11th in the platform and in the final event of the evening, the 400 free relay of
Gillian St. John, Butter,
Sarah Lott and
Jenna Marsh placed seventh with a time of 3:21.10.
