TUCSON, Arizona - After two rounds of play at the N.I.T. the University of Utah men's golf carded a combined total of 8-over 584 (292-292) and head into tomorrow's final round in a tie for 11th-place overall at the par-72, Omni Tucson National-Catalina Course.
"We were a little sloppy today, we have got to clean up our play and play better in the final round tomorrow. We missed too many 3 puts today, and we have to eliminate the bogeys. Kyler played very well today, and was solid through both rounds. Gentry also battled very hard, and I'm looking for him to play great tomorrow." Said Head Coach

Iowa State leads all teams at 27-under 549 (274-275), while Arizona State (-26, 550), UNLV (-21, 550), Texas El Paso (-7, 569), and Arizona (-6, 570) rounded out the top-five.
Sophomore
Kyler Dunkle led the way for the Utes, shooting 3-under 141 through the first two rounds. Dunkle, who is in a three-way tie for 14th-place, carded a 2-under par 70 through his first 18 holes of play and followed with a 1-under par 71 in second-round action.
Senior
Gentry Hicks heads into Tuesday in a tie for 34th-place after carding a two-round score of 1-over par 145. Hicks, shot 1-over par 73 in the first round and then followed with a score of even with par in the second round.
Freshman
Jordan Costello shot 4-over 76 in the first round, along with shooting even with par in the second round and currently sits in a tie for 49th-place with a two-round score of 4-over par 148.
Freshman
Mitchell Schow is in a tie for 62nd-place with scores of 1-over par 73 and 5-over par 77 for a total of 6-over par 150 through the first two rounds of play.
Sophomore
Nathan Wunderli rounded out Utah's scoring through the first two rounds with a 36-hole score of 12-over 156 and sits in a tie for 82nd-place. Hastings carded rounds of 5-over par and 7-over par, respectively.
The Utes wrap-up play at the N.I.T. with the third round on Tuesday.
