SALT LAKE CITY – Three members of the Utah women's swimming and diving team will compete in the 2017 NCAA Championships this Wednesday, March 15 through Saturday, March 18 in Indianapolis. Seniors Stina Colleou and Amanda Casillas, as well as sophomore Genevieve Robertson will represent the Utes. 

"The NCAA D1 Championships are one of the true pinnacles of our sport," said Utah head coach Joe Dykstra. "We are thrilled to have three girls competing this week."

This will be Colleou's fourth time competing at the NCAA Championships, the third time for Casillas and the second-straight appearance for Robertson.

Colleou and Robertson will both be competing in the 100 and 200 breast. Colleou qualified in the 200 breast with a time of 2:09.90, which she set at the beginning of the season at the Ohio State Invitational. Her time is the seventh fastest in the Pac-12 and ranks in the top 30 in the nation. She has won this event six times during the 2016-17 season, while also earning a second and third-place finish

At last year's NCAA Championships, she finished 25th in the 200 breast with a time of 2:10.36. She finished fourth among Pac-12 swimmers in the event. 

Robertson's time of 2:10.33 in the 200 breast is tied for 34th in the nation and is a top-10 time in Pac-12 competition. She has earned three victories in the event as well as two in the 100 breast.She placed 34th in the 200 breast at last year's NCAA's with a time of 2:11.79.

Casillas, the lone diver, qualified on the one-meter and platform event. At Zones, she finished fourth with a score of 544.05 on the platform event. She also took ninth in the one-meter event tallying a total score of 560.40. 

She was 27th on the platform at last year's NCAA's with a score of 224.15. She had the seventh-best score among the other Pac-12 divers during the meet.
