Utes Compete at Second Day of NCAA Championships 

INDIANAPOLIS - Utah swimmers Austin Phillips, Paul Ungur and Daniel McArthur, as well as diver Josiah Purss all took part in today's events at the NCAA men's Championships. 

Ungur, making his first appearance at the NCAA's, finished in the top 25 for the 100 back event with a time of 46.52. He was sixth among Pac-12 competitors. 

McArthur took part in the same event and his time of 47.30, a new personal best, makes him the third-fastest in Utah history. He took 35th overall.

Phillips took part in the 200 free and also took 35th, with a time of 1:36.47. 

Purss, the lone diver competing for his fourth time at the NCAA Championships, was 35th on the three-meter event. He tallied a total score of 305.80. 

Purss and Ungur wrapped up competition at the NCAA's today, but Phillips and McArthur will be return to the pool tomorrow as they swim in the 200 back. 

Prelims are set to begin at 10 a.m. ET with finals at 6 p.m. ET.
