SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah baseball team returns home this week for a three-game series against California beginning on Thursday, April 13 and continuing through Saturday, April 15. All three games will be held at 11:30 a.m. MT.
 
A video and audio stream will be provided for all three games.
 
Schedule magnets will be given away during all three games. Utah continues its season-long player card promotion featuring Alex Isola on Thursday, Spencer Kevin Johnson on Friday and Ellis Kelly on Saturday. Interlocking U car decals will also be given out on Saturday.
 
Utah (12-16, 3-9) has been through the gauntlet in Pac-12 play, with all four of Utah's league series (Washington, Stanford, Oregon and Oregon State) coming against ranked opponents. The Utes are coming off a series against No. 1 Oregon State, dropping two of the three games in the final inning.
 
Utah (12-16, 3-9 Pac-12) is fourth in the Pac-12 in batting average (.276). The Utes are also fourth in the league in hits (272). Utah is fifth in the Pac-12 in runs scored (157) and is tied for fifth with 139 RBI.
 
The Utes are fifth in the league with a 3.84 ERA, with a 3.61 ERA in Pac-12 games. Utah is fifth in the conference in fewest runs allowed (127). The Utes have allowed the fewest home runs in the conference (eight) and lead the league in pickoffs (eight).
 
Dallas Carroll ranks in the top five in the league in multiple categories, including batting average (fifth/.381 BA), hits per game (fourth/1.54) and slugging percentage (fifth/.593). DaShawn Keirsey Jr., is fifth in the league in hits per game (1.46). He is on a seven-game hitting streak.
 
Jayson Rose is seventh in the league in strikeouts (46) while Josh Lapiana is tied for ninth in strikeouts (36). Riley Ottesen is tied for fourth in the Pac-12 in innings pitched (52 2/3).
 
California is 15-14 overall and 7-5 in the Pac-12. The Bears have won six-straight Pac-12 games with sweeps against Washington State and Arizona State, but were also swept by UCLA and dropped two of three to Oregon.
