NEW ORLEANS - The Utah track and field team was selected as a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team while 
Amanda Gehrich, Chrissy Glasmann, 
Hannah McInturff, 
Grayson Murphy and 
Ann Wingeleth earned individual All-Academic honors.
 
As a team, the Utes had a 3.392 grade point average.
 
Gehrich finished fifth at the Pac-12 Championships in the 1,500 and placed 21st at the NCAA West Preliminary at the event. Her season-best time of 4:22.78 ranks sixth all-time at Utah while she also ranks third all-time at Utah in the indoor mile (4:47.45).
 
Glasmann finished eighth in the javelin at the Pac-12 Championships and competed at the NCAA West Preliminary. Her personal-best mark of 158'10" ranks second all-time at Utah.
 
McInturff was in the top 75 in the nation in the indoor 3,000 meters in 2017 and her career-best time of 9:24.52 ranks fourth all-time at Utah. She finished 24th at the MPSF Indoor Championships in the 3,000, and was 18th in the 1,500 at the Pac-12 Championships.
 
Grayson Murphy earned All-America honors in both indoor and outdoor track. She finished fifth in the 3,000 steeplechase at the outdoor NCAA Championships for first-team All-America honors, and finished 15th in the 5,000 at the indoor NCAA Championships for second-team All-America honors. She holds Utah school records in the outdoor 3,000 steeplechase (9:53.04), outdoor 5,000 (15:58.29) and indoor 5,000 (15:53.24).
 
Ann Wingeleth finished sixth in the long jump at the Pac-12 Championships and was fifth at the MPSF Indoor Championships. She placed 26th at the NCAA West Preliminary in the event. Wingeleth ranks second all-time at Utah in both the indoor (19'8.75") and outdoor (20'1.5") long jump.
 
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track & Field Team, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and have been ranked in the top 96 nationally in an indoor event or have participated in any round of the outdoor NCAA Division I Championships. A team must have a 3.00 grade point average to be considered for the team award.
