SALT LAKE CITY - The College Swimming Coaches Association of America has selected both Utah Swimming and Diving squads as Scholar All-America Teams.
The Utah women had a 3.49 grade point average during the fall semester. This was the highest GPA recorded by the Utes since the CSCAA starting handing out team awards in 2010. This is also the 10th-straight semester the Utes have earned a team academic award.
The Utah men's team had a 3.14 GPA during the fall semester as 688 swimming and diving teams, representing 430 colleges and universities, were named CSCAA Scholar All-America teams.
The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and again in the spring to recognize teams achieving a 3.0 in the semester.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. The CSCAA is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
