SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah track and field/cross country program signed five student-athletes to National Letters of Intent, head coach
Kyle Kepler announced. Jasie York, Ally, Gomm, Karli Branch, Ellie Lundgreen and Kaitlyn Mercer have each signed NLI's and will join the program for the upcoming 2019-20 season.

"As a whole, this class represents both outstanding athletic and academic achievement," Kepler said. "All of these young women are state champions and each are among the top ranked individuals per GPA in their senior classes."

Jasie York | Sprints
Cedar City, Utah
Cedar City High School
2018 Utah state champion in both the 200m and 400m … won the 200m event with a season-best time of 25.16 … won the 400m event with a personal-best time of 55.47 … finished fourth in the 800m at the state championship meet with a personal-best time of 2:14.20 … in 2017 state championships, she took second in the 400m (57.22) and third in the 800m (2:18.46).

2017 Utah state champion in the 300m hurdles finishing in a personal-best time of 43.78 … she also finished second in the 400m (57.23) and fourth in the 200m (25.91) at the state championship meet … has a personal-best time of 56.78 in the 400m.

Karli Branch | Cross Country/Distance
Draper, Utah
Corner Canyon High School
2018 Utah Cross Country Region 7 Champion, winning the 5K race in a personal-best time of 17:41.4 … went onto earn fourth-place in the 5A state cross country meet with a time of 18:37.6 in the 3 mile event … won the 2017 5A state cross country championship finishing the 3 mile race in 17:51.4 and helping her team capture third-place overall … finished among the top-20 runners as a sophomore in the 4A state championship meet … during the 2018 track & field season she would take first-place at the regional championships in the 3200m (11:25.84) … took third-place in the 3200m (11:08.48) in the state championship meet … registered a personal best time of 5:09.14 and finished seventh in the championship meet of the 3200m.

2018 Utah cross country state champion after finishing the 3 mile event with a time of 18:06.0 … won the Weber State XC Invitational earlier in the season with a 3 mile personal-best time of 17:43.2 … tallied a top-15 finish in the cross country state championship as a junior in 2017 … was the 2018 outdoor track & field district champion in the 3200m (11:18.90) and would go onto finish fourth in the state meet with a personal best time of 11:16.04 … ran a personal-best 11:15.18 in the 3200m at the UHSTCA Indoor Championships in 2018.

Grandview High School
Was the 2017 Centennial League cross country champion in the 5K, finishing in a time of 19:04.0 … would go onto earn fourth-place in the 5A Region 2 Championships (19:19.6) and then a top-10 finish in the 5A state championships (18:40.1) … this past season as a senior she registered a fourth-place finish in the NXR Southwest Regional Championships with a season-best time in the 5K of 18:36.1 … on the track & field side, she was a Centennial League champion as a junior in the 1600m after finishing the event in a personal-best time of 5:06.64 … as a sophomore she took third-place in the state meet in the 800m with a personal-best time of 2:12.17 and helped lead her team to a state championship in the 4x400 relay.
