 Game Notes: fill in here
Utah Vault Notes:Alexia Burch scored a 9.775 on her first career vault to
count, filling in for MyKayla Skinner (resting a sore ankle). Nice vault with
deduction on the landing.
Big vault by Missy Reinstadtler. Again the deduction came on a small
hop back on her landing. Kari Lee put it all together on that vault. Good form, good air, good stick.
Huge vault by Tiffani Lewis, but a big hop on the landing.
The sticks are in short supply for Utah today. Big vault by Kim Tessen with 10.0 start value, but she didn't stick the landing. MaKenna Merrell-Giles had a lot of trouble with her dismount.
She landed low and took a step back.
Utah Bar Notes: Tiffani Lewis had a killer stick on her double layout dismount
to highlight a good routine. Deductions were on her handstands. MaKenna Merrell-Giles had a huge release move and mostly great handstands.
One was a little shy and small step on landing. Missy Reinstadtler's routine was very smooth and clean other than
she wasn't quite straight on her first handstand and small shuffle on landing. Kari Lee had a great routine until suffering her first fall of the
season on her landing.
Beautiful routine by Kim Tessen earned a 9.95 from one judge. I'm not quite
sure where the deduction was. MyKayla Skinner had a 10.0 routine going until a step back on her
landing. Absolutely perfect on the bars and in the air.
Utah Beam Notes: Maddy Stover is amazing how fast she thinks on beam. I was unsure
if she would get credit for a connection on her flight series and I think she was too because
she added in another connection later in the routine.
Really nice routine by MaKenna Merrell-Giles. It was her best of the night and I
thought she would get a 9.90. Perhaps they didn't think she made a connection.
Beautiful series and stuck dismount. Alexia Burch needed a balance check on her series. She recovered nicely and finished
strong, but that's where she got dinged.
Stunning beam routine by Kari Lee. I'm not sure where the tenth deduction came in, but
it wasn't on her series, side aerial or dismount, which were spot on.
Missy Reinstadltler had a great routine. Deduction was a litlle balance check on her
switch side leap. thanks to Jen White for technical terms! MyKayla Skinner looked like a rock on the beam. She had a step out of her double
back dismount and a small wobble early.
Utah Floor Notes: Nice job by the freshie. In her first career start on floor,, Alexia Burch nailed her opening pass and was pretty clean throughout.
Great routine by Tiffani Lewis. Rock solid on all her tumbling, good leaps
and presentation. I love her attitude and music. Kari Lee had a beauty going until her last tumbling pass when she rolled
her ankle. It caused a little stumble. She doesn't have Katie Lorens, the trainer
with her, so presumably she is OK.
Beautiful routine by Missy Reinstadlter. I wonder if the deduction came
from being a little low on her final pike double back. She may have stepped
out of it a little, but not much if she did.
Super routine by Sydney Soloski. Nice double layout to start the routine
and she was on fire from there. MaKenna Merrell-Giles had a small error on her opening
piked full in after landing low, but recovered and was solid
the rest of the way.
