SAN FRANCISCO -Â Utah men's swimming and diving had six student-athletes named to the Pac-12 All-Academic First Team, the league office announced today, most in the conference.
In total, 12 Utes were honored for their accomplishments in the classroom with four swimmers named to the second team and two more garnering honorable mention status.
First team honorees included
Ben Scott and
Brandon Shreeve for a third-straight year,
Daniel Theriault for a second time, and newcomers
Brody Lewis,
Matteo Sogne and Jeremy Young.

Jack Burton, a three-time honoree, was joined by
Austin Phillips and
Chris Taber, two-time selections, and
Rahiti De Vos on the second team

Two Utes received honorable mention asÂ
Ganem Tebet was noticed for a second time while
Cole Avery was also chosen.

To be eligible for selection to the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average, participate in at least half of their team's scheduled regular season events and spent more than one year at her current institution.
