SALT LAKE CITY -Â The College Swimming Coaches Association of America has selected Utah Swimming and Diving as a Scholar All-America Team.
Â
The Utah women had a 3.46 grade point average during the spring semester after recording a 3.49 GPA in the fall, its highest mark since 2010. This is the 11th-straight semester the Utes have earned a team academic award.
Â
The award is presented twice annually, once in the fall semester and again in the spring to recognize teams achieving a 3.0 in the semester.
Â
The Pac-12 was one of four conferences to have every men's and women's team honored and the CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
Â
Utah had 14 student-athletes named to Pac-12 All-Academic Teams earlier this year. First team honorees included Dorien Butter and Hailey Pabst for a third-straight season, along with new additions Christina Pick and Marah Smith. Mallori Allen and Sarah Lott were selected to the second team.
Â
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America is the oldest professional organization of college coaches in America. The CSCAA is dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
