We're one days away from the start of our inaugural season and we continue to count down the days with No. 1 Josh Stout, who is from Alpine, Utah, and attended Lone Peak High School.
What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
Being able to play my freshman year of high school with my older brother Jake and having our oldest brother Aaron coach us. We made it to the championship game and even though we lost, it is one of my favorite lacrosse memories.
What is your favorite sport besides lacrosse?
Basketball
What do you like to do in your free time?
To hang out with my girlfriend, like to watch movies and relax, play with my dog, and sometimes go into the mountains.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
I chose Utah because I grew up in Utah and I didn't want to go far from home. So when given the choice to play DI lacrosse in my home state, I could not pass that up.
My favorite thing about Salt Lake City is:
All of the mountains around us. I sometime take it for granted because I grew up here but they are definitely one of the best parts of the City.
What are your goals for this year?
To get into Utah's Nursing program. And to help my team be the best team in college lacrosse.
What are your pregame superstitions?
I used to have a lot in high school. But these last two years in college I have just stopped most of my pregame superstitions. The only thing that I do before games is get a shooting pill (peanut butter M&M) from Coach Manny.
What is your major and what do you want to do after you graduate?
My major is Nursing, I would like to get a job in the Emergency Department and eventually become an organ transplant nurse.
Where do you most hope to travel/visit?
I would love to go to France to the Louvre to see all of the amazing artwork there.
If you could invite three people, dead or alive, to a dinner party, who would they be?
Jimmy Fallon, Blake Shelton, and Jerry Seinfeld
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
The most important thing in life is being kind to everyone and always being a good person.
