What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
Joining a new travel team (ADVNC) in 8th grade and showing up to the first practice as a newcomer was essential to finding my passion for the game. My coach, John Cardente, and new teammates made practice fun and it really made me happy to be out on the field.
What is your favorite sport besides lacrosse?
I have always loved playing football, whether that be for fun with friends or competitively in high school. It is a sport like lacrosse where you go through a lot with your brothers and get to play fast and physically.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love fishing, hunting, offroading, and doing anything else in the outdoors. I have always been a big family guy so mixing the outdoors with spending time with my family will always be one of my favorite free time activities.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
I chose Utah because it isn't too far from home in Northern California and I felt that the lacrosse program here was the best fit for me. I am able to spend time up in the mountains while having a really fun city just down the road. Utah is the perfect balance for me academically, athletically, and socially.
My favorite thing about Salt Lake City is:
The people in Salt Lake City are some of the nicest people I have met. Everyone says hi to everyone. It's a very loving community.
What are your goals for this year?
I hope to better myself in all aspects of life and learn from the mistakes I will make. Self growth is a huge part of college and playing lacrosse at Utah and I believe through reflection, I will learn a lot about myself.
What are your pregame superstitions?
I never do anything but listen to music, eat, and nap before a game. I am always worried that something will distract me from focusing on the game. I also always wear my American Flag compression shorts, because they are lucky.
What is your major and what do you want to do after you graduate?
I am currently a Pre-Business major and I would either like to get a job in finance or work for my father's commercial real estate company after college.
Where do you most hope to travel/visit?
I recently went to Spain and France with my family and I can't wait to spend more time there, specifically Spain. I love the culture and I speak Spanish so I am able to communicate fairly well with most people there.
If you could invite three people, dead or alive, to a dinner party, who would they be?
My ideal dinner party guest list would be Chris Kyle, my grandfather (Mac McInnis), and Trace Adkins. The conversation would be very mature, but I feel like I could learn a lot about life through these three men.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Something that a lot of people forget is that happiness in life means everything. The best advice I have received was to enjoy pure happiness everyday and spread the joy of life to everyone.
