We're 18 days away from the start of our inaugural season and we continue to count down the days with No. 18 Quinault Mackey, who is from Bonney Lake, Wash., and attended Sumner High School.
What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
When I first started playing lacrosse I was allergic to my lacrosse stick. I think that is really ironic because now it is in my hands every single day.
What is your favorite sport besides lacrosse?
Golf
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love to hike and listen to music in my free time.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
The best thing about Utah is the trail system behind campus. I try to go on hikes as much as possible because there are several so close to campus. I chose Utah because of the coaching. I grew up huge fans of Coach Manny and Coach Holman and being able to play for them is a huge honor.

What are your goals for this year?
Make the Dean's List for both fall and spring semesters.
What are your pregame superstitions?
I listen to Fool in the Rain by Led Zeppelin and Who's Loving You by The Jackson 5. I do a lot of wall ball and stick tricks before games as well.
What is your major and what do you want to do after you graduate?
I am majoring in mechanical engineering. I want to graduate with an emphasis in Robotics and Control Systems. After college, my dream job is to work for Blue Origin in Seattle as an aerospace engineer.
Where do you most hope to travel/visit?
I really want to go to Antarctica. I think that would be a really unique experience.
If you could invite three people, dead or alive, to a dinner party, who would they be?
Stephen Hawking, Ben Franklin, and Alexander the Great.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
"Before enlightenment, chop wood and carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood and carry water."
