SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah lacrosse team has announced five captains for its upcoming 2020 season. Junior
Liam Donnelly, senior
Aaron Fjeldsted, junior
Seth Neeleman, senior
Jimmy Perkins and junior
Josh Stout will serve as captains for the Utes second NCAA season. Donnelly, Fjeldsted, Neeleman and Perkins were also elected captains last season.
"I'm grateful to have five young men that the staff and the team believes exemplify what our pillars are all about," Utah head coach
Brian Holman said. "That's really how they get voted on. We reelected four guys and added a fifth who couldn't be better. I was really proud of the fact that we had over half of our team get votes. I think that shows that we have other guys on our team who the team feels comfortable with from a leadership perspective. We're really lucky.
"Josh has pretty much been a captain since the day we showed up, so I know how much it means to him to officially be named a captain. What's great about each one of our captains is that they are all so different and they all bring a really unique perspective and a different voice to the team. That was also something the team was talking about, is not having the same kind of guy as captain. Liam, Aaron, Seth and Jimmy all did a really great job to get reelected as a group again. It says a lot about them as individuals and what they stand for."
