SALT LAKE CITY – The 2019-20 University of Utah track & field schedule is officially finalized and ready to go for this upcoming season head coach

"This schedule is filled with several high level competitions held at some of the best facilities in the country," Kepler said. "We also wanted to provide opportunities for our younger emerging student-athletes, which we were able to do. My staff and I are excited about the challenges and opportunities this schedule provides for our entire group of student athletes as we focus on overall development and improvement."

This year's indoor season features 12 events, including the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships. Following the MPSF Championships (Feb. 28-29) the team will compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships (March 13-14) in Albuquerque, N.M.

The Utes will get to stay local for their first indoor meet of the season, taking a short drive up to Ogden for the Weber State Winter Open Dec. 6-7. The following week, the team heads to Boise, Idaho, for the Jackson Open before taking almost a month off.

Utah then returns to action on Jan. 10 when it competes in the
Lauren McCluskey Multis hosted by Idaho before going back to Gem State for the Ed Jacoby Invitational on Jan. 18 hosted by Boise State. The Utes then split their team up with some going to Seattle for the UW Invitational while some will head to Lubbock for the Texas Tech Invitational for multis.

The Utes then head to Albuquerque for the annual Don Kirby Invitational (Feb. 13-14) while some of the team will be at the Husky Classic (Feb. 14-15) and Boise State Challenge (Feb. 15).

Utah splits the squad once again the following week with some participating in the Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame while some compete at the UW Last Chance Meet before starting the championships season.

Less than a week later after the indoor season ending, Utah flies west to San Luis Obispo, Calif., for the Cal Poly ShareSLO Invitational (March 20-21) to kick start the outdoor season. The following week, it'll head to UCLA for the Jim Bush Legends (March 27-28).

The first week of April will be a busy weekend with the team getting split up between three different meets. Some of the team will be at the Stanford Invitational and Mike Fanelli Track Classic (April 3-4) in the Bay Area while a group will be in sunny San Diego for the Mountain West Challenge.

The Utes then return home to the McCarthy Family Track & Field Complex where it'll host the Utah Spring Classic April 10-11.

The next two weeks will see Utah split its team up once again. The week of April 16-18 has Utah in Southern California for the Pacific Coast Meet, Bryan Clay Invitational and Mt. Sac Relays. The team will then wrap up the month at the Drake Relays and some of the Utes heading to Provo for the Robinson Invitational April 24-25.

May will see the U at the Weber State Open (May 1-2) and Desert Heat Invitational (May 2) in Tucson. Another split weekend has some competing in the Portland Twilight meet and a few at the BYU Last Chance meet before championships begin.

Pac-12 Championships will begin on May 9-10 with the multi-events in Corvallis, Ore., before the rest of the meet returns to a newly renovated Hayward Field to crown the conference champion (May 16-17). NCAA Prelims will follow on May 28-30 in Lawrence, Kansas, before the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships are held June 10-13 at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
