LOS ANGELES, Calif. - The 39th overall ranked University of Utah women's tennis team was unable to record a victory ealier today, as they dropped their match to No. 8 UCLA with a score of 0-4. With this loss, the Utes are now 11-7 overall, with a 2-4 record in Pac-12 conference play.
The Bruins were able to obtain the early advantage on the Utes, as they earned the doubles point. On court No. 2,
Leah Heimuli and
Whitney Hekking were unable to record a victory, as they dropped their match to No. 11 Elysia Bolton and Jada Hart with a score of 1-6.
Emily Dush and
Lindsay Hung then dropped their match at the No. 3 position to Abi Altick and Taylor Johnson, with a score of 3-6, allowing UCLA to take the lead into singles.
In singles, the Utes then dropped matches on courts 2, 3 and 6, allowing No. 8 UCLA to complete the 0-4 sweep. The University of Utah women's tennis team will wrap up their road trip tomorrow afternoon, as the will take on No. 11 USC in Los Angeles, California. This match against the Trojans is set to start at 1 p.m. MT, with a
