INDIANAPOLIS – Utah will have a pair of track athletes competing in the 2019 USATF U20 Outdoor Championships, which will take place next weekend (June 21-23) at Ansin Sports Complex in Miramar, Fla.

Freshman
Skyler Blair will represent Utah in the 400-meter hurdles, while fellow freshman
Brooklyn James competes in the 800-meter event.

The 2019 USATF U20 (Junior) Championships will serve as the selection event for the 2019 Pan American U20 Athletics Championships to be held in San Jose, Costa Rica, July 19-21.

Blair is coming off a 2019 outdoor season where she competed in the 400-meter hurdles event on seven different occasions. She set a personal best time of 59.72 at the Desert Heat Classic back on April 27, and the time now ranks as the fifth-fastest time in school history.

James competed in a total of six 800-meter races, where she tallied four top-nine finishes overall. She set her new personal best time of 2:08.57 at the Portland Twilight back on May 3, and the time ranks 10th-fastest on the school's all-time performance list.
