COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -Â The College Swimming Coaches Association of America honored both Utah Swimming and Diving squads as Scholar All-America Teams this afternoon
The Utah women had a 3.41 grade point average during the spring to earn their 13th straight CSCAA team academic award. The men's team had a 3.15 GPA during the fall and picked up its 12th CSCAA academic award over the last 13 semesters.
Presented twice annually, the Scholar All-America awards recognize teams achieving a 3.0 in the semester. A record 480 colleges and universities were named CSCAA Scholar All-America teams.
The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week. Utah Swimming and Diving had 29 student-athletes named to their respective Pac-12 All-Academic Teams this past spring (19 female, 10 male) as Daniel Theriault, Matteo Sogne, David Fridlander, Robert King, Marah Smith and Samantha Kraus were named First Team honorees
