SALT LAKE CITY – University of Utah head track and field coach
Kyle Kepler announced the addition of Oneillia Fuller to the 2019-20 track & field roster on Friday. Fuller, who is originally from Clarendon, Jamaica and is a native of Villa Rica, Ga., will transfer to the U following two seasons at Savannah State.
Â
"Oneillia is a talented athlete who we believe will add depth to our sprint group," said Kepler. "Her versatility and young training age will allow her to continue to develop into someone we feel will be able to contribute at both the conference and national level."
Â
Fuller will primarily compete in the 400-meter run for the Utes. She finished 10th overall in the event at the MEAC Outdoor Championships this past season, and also registered a seventh-place finish at the MEAC Indoor Championships. She has posted 12 top-five finishes in her career overall, a total that includes finishing in first-place five times.
Â
This past season, Fuller tallied her collegiate-best time in the 400-meters with a time of 55.12 at the Gamecock Invitational back on April 13. Her collegiate-best in the 400-meter indoor is a time of 56.69, which she tallied back on Feb. 16 this past season at the USC Indoor Open. Other collegiate bests for Fuller include running a 25.04 in the 200-meters.
Â
Fuller was a two-sport athlete at Savannah State, competing in both volleyball and track & field. She is the daughter of Marcia and Oneil Fuller.
