As we prepare for the lacrosse season, we'll get to know the newcomers on Utah's team. Today is Jack Barron, a transfer from Furman.
What is your favorite lacrosse memory?
Winning the state championship my senior year of high school. It was the first one that my school had won so it made it even more special.
What is your favorite sport besides lacrosse?
My favorite sport to watch is football.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to hang out with my boys and go fishing.
Why did you choose Utah? What is the best thing about Utah?
I chose Utah for the coaching staff and the surrounding geography. Growing up in Texas there are not many mountains.
My favorite thing about Salt Lake City is:
Definitely the mountains.
What are your goals for this year?
I want to make the NCAA tournament and hopefully win a national championship.
What are your pregame superstitions?
I have to listen to music pre-game and that's about it.
What is your major and what do you want to do after you graduate?
I'm undecided but I will major somewhere in the business field. I want to get a good job and have a great family.
Where do you most hope to travel/visit?
I want to travel to every continent besides maybe Antarctica.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Live in the present because sometimes you don't know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.
