Beach Volleyball Earns Win Over Irvine Valley College

First win of 2020 season
IRVINE, Calif. – The Utah beach volleyball program earned its first win of the 2020 season over Irvine Valley College on Tuesday, March 10.
The Utes defeated Irvine Valley College 3-2 with their second, third and fourth pairs earning victories. Mckenna Granato and Keana Smalls cruised to their victory. After a tight first set, they took the second set 21-7.
The other two victories came in three sets. The second pair of Kenzie Koerber and Madelyn Robinson took the opening set 21-17. After dropping the second set, they earned the victory with a 15-10 third-set win. Sommer Daniel and Kinga Windisch also won a tight first set and then dropped the second set. They then took the third set to secure the victory for Utah.
Utah also played Long Beach State earlier in the day, but LBSU won 5-0 on Irvine Valley College's campus.
The Utes will play next on Friday, March 20 in Tucson, Arizona. They will play Arizona Christian University and Arizona.
