Utah Track & Field Shines in the Classroom

The Utah track & field team saw 17 student-athletes earn MPSF All-Academic selections.
WOODLAND, Calif. – On top of a record-breaking indoor season, the University of Utah women's track & field team also shined in the classroom and saw 17 student-athletes earn Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) All-Academic selections.

The 17 all-academic honorees for Utah was the second-highest total, tying it with the 2018 squad and trailed only the 2019 squad – which saw a program best 21 honorees. The 17 student-athletes were also second highest among Pac-12 schools this season, trailing only Washington State (25).

Honorees for the Women of Utah include Skyler Blair, Anna Busatto, Emma Christensen, Caitlin Faust, Sarah Feeny, Whitney Hessler, Brooklyn James, Brooke Manson, Brooke Martin, Jackie Martin, Ruby Jane Mathewson, Sarah Newton, Lauren O'Banion, Kennedy Powell, Sophie Ryan, Kolbi Sims and Cara Woolnough.

To be eligible for selection, the student-athlete must have a 3.00 or better cumulative grade point average and must have completed one full academic year at the institution as well as be a sophomore academically. The student-athlete must also have competed in fifty percent or more of the institution's competitions.
