Adam Ghitelman are preparing to compete in the Premier Lacrosse League Championship Series later this month while former Ute
Colin Burke will be part of Major League Lacrosse's 20th Anniversary season beginning on Friday, July 18.
Burke, who led Utah and ranked in the top 20 nationally with 31 points and 16 assists in the shortened season, played one season at Utah after transferring from Fairfield. He was selected third overall by the New York Lizards in the MLL Draft. MLL will play a week-long schedule in Annapolis, Maryland, with the Lizards opening their season against the Boston Cannons on Saturday, July 18, at 4:00 p.m. ET (2:00 p.m. MT) on ESPN+. The regular-season schedule continues through Friday, July 24, with playoffs held from July 25-26.
Holman, Manny and Ghitelman of the PLL's Archers are currently in a quarantine period in preparation for training camp. The PLL brings professional lacrosse to Utah for the first time with the Championship series held at the Real Salt Lake training complex in Herriman with games at Zions Bank Stadium. Archers plays its first game on Monday, July 27, with all games held across the NBC Networks. A playoff goes from Aug. 4-9.
The PLL is in its second season. Holman is a six-time professional all-star (2019 PLL; 2014, 2018 Team USA; 2016-17 MLL). He led the league last season with 23 regular season goals. Manny is a five-time professional all-star (2019 PLL, 2015-18 MLL), led the PLL with 35 goals and 50 points last season and set league records for goals (seven) and points (11) in a game. Ghitelman had a 51.2 save percentage with 79 saves last season, and 20 saves with a 60.6 save percentage in the postseason. He was nominated for the Jimmy Regan Teammate Award.
