FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – The Utah diving team will head to the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships this week, competing in the three-day event from Monday through Wednesday, March 8-10, at the Wall Aquatic Center in Flagstaff, Ariz.
Monday's events will include the women's prelims of the 1-meter starting at approximately 11:30 a.m. MT, while the men's 3-meter prelims will get underway at 11:40 a.m. MT. The finals for both events will start at 1:15 p.m. MT.
On Tuesday, the women will begin on the 3m at 11:30 a.m. MT, while the men shift to the platform at 11:40 a.m. MT. Finals on Tuesday will begin at 1:50 p.m. MT. The final day of competition will see the women's platform dives and the men on the 1m. Both events will start prelims at 11:30 a.m. MT, while both finals will begin at 12:50 p.m. MT.

The Ute divers are coming off their best Pac-12 Championships to date where the men finished in first place and the women in second place, finishing first overall as a combined team. Both the men's and women's diving teams earned the highest points at the meet in program history, including the women topping their previous high score by 80 points. The Utes also had 13 championship finalists.Â
Luke McDivitt posted a school record 400.75 on platform to be named the Pac-12 Platform Champion, while
Tony Chen continued his stellar season on the 1m and 3m after earning runner-up finishes on both events at the championship event. McDivitt's win was the first-ever Ute diver to finish first place and earn a Pac-12 title.Â
Lizzy DeCecco placed third on the 3m, the highest finish ever for Utah, and also finished fourth on the 1m. DeCecco recorded the third highest score all-time on the 3m, while
Lexi Mills posted the fifth highest score. DeCecco totaled the most points by a Ute diver at the Pac-12 Championships in history with 73 points.
Regan Caufield, DeCecco, Mills and
Emma Ruchala will compete at the NCAA Zone E Championships for the women, while
Chase Hindmarsh, McDivitt,
