SALT LAKE CITY – Jordie Lindley has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Communications, and will assume the role of primary media contact for the Utah Football program, Athletics Director
Mark Harlan announced today. In her expanded role, Lindley will manage day-to-day communications for the football program and continue to play a key role in collaborating with the program's social media and creative team to produce compelling storytelling content across all platforms.

Lindley, who has worked with the Utah football program for the past four years, will be one of just nine women who currently serve as the primary football contact at a Power 5 program. She has seen her role expand over the past two seasons in coordination with Associate A.D. for Strategic Communications
Paul Kirk, who will continue oversee the department's overall strategic communications and digital & creative media departments.

Lindley also has served as the primary media contact for Utah's women's basketball program for the past four years, in addition to managing communications for men's golf and men's & women's tennis. She was appointed to serve as the communications representative on Utah Athletics' Preparedness Committee to navigate the return to football competition during the COVID-19 pandemic. Lindley also has taken great initiative to help expand the scope and volume of the department's creative content capabilities to tell the stories of Utah's student-athletes, coaches and staff, while continually expanding her role in managing the athletics communications student intern program, as well as photography and game operations logistics.

She was hired as assistant director of communications at Utah in 2017 after spending the previous five years at Northern Iowa, where she served as the primary contact for football, women's basketball, men's and women's cross country and men's and women's track & field. A 2010 graduate of Oklahoma State, where she was a student-athlete on the soccer team and a two-year student intern in athletics communications, Lindley began her career as a postgraduate intern at Oklahoma State (2010-11) followed by one year as a communications assistant at Oregon State (2011-12).
