Cody Lockling is the Associate Director of Sports Performance for Olympic Sports at the University of Utah. He is responsible for the athletic development of the women's gymnastics, women's soccer, alpine skiing, and men's golf programs. Cody received his bachelors of science degree in exercise and sports science and his master's degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of Utah.
Cody has been the Utah state Director for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) since 2014 where he has hosted six annual state clinics. He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.
Cody is a certified coach for several specialties, which include USA Track and Field, USA Weight Lifting Level I, Titlist Performance Specialist Level I, and a certified Speed & Agility Coach.
He has presented at various conferences throughout the country including the 2015 NSCA Utah State Clinic, 2015 Basketball High Performance Symposium, and the 2018 Nor Cal Performance Forum.
As a coach, Cody is passionate about helping his athletes in maximizing their athletic performance. He believes it is his responsibility to not only enhance athletic performance but also provide an environment in which his athletes can grow as people, as well as athletes. He currently resides in Salt Lake City with his wife, Kylie, and German Shepherd, Jax.
