EUGENE, Ore. – Utah track & field sophomore
Josefine Eriksen concluded her outdoor season Thursday evening in the semifinals of the 800m race at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships inside the reimagined Hayward Field.
Â
The Utah sophomore kept pace with the pack through the first lap before the leaders of heat three hit the afterburners to take the top-four times. Eriksen concluded her season with a time of 2:09.57, which garnered her honorable mention All-America accolades.
Eriksen became the 14th Women of Utah to earn All-America honors (21st outdoor All-American) and first sprinter since Rosalie Waller did the same in 2014 – coincidentally in the 800m as well. Eriksen also recently broke Waller's 800m record at the NCAA West Regionals.
