Alissa Pili was named Pac-12 Player of the week after averaging 34 points per game over the weekend.
Pili caught national attention after putting up a career-high 37 points against No. 1 South Carolina Sunday afternoon. Against the Gamecocks, Pili shot 65.2 percent from the field going 15-23. She went 3-6 from beyond the arc and 4-4 from the free throw line. She also managed two rebounds, one assist and three steals.
Pili's 37 points are the most scored by a Pac-12 player this season.
Before taking on South Carolina, Pili had 31 points against Saint Joseph's. She shot 70.6 percent from the field going 12-17 from the field and 3-4 from deep. Pili pulled down seven rebounds and had three assists.
This is Pili's Fourth career Pac-12 Player of the Week award for Pili, and Utah's 10th.
She's averaging 24.6 points per game so far this season, ranking No. 4 in the NCAA. She's racked up 246 total points this season which is No. 4 in the NCAA. She is second in the nation in field goal percentage as she's shooting 72.1 percent this season. Pili is shooting 55.6 percent from the three this season which is No. 5 in the nation.
Pili was a Pac-12 Preseason All-Conference selection for this season. She was recently ranked at No. 9 on ESPN's WBB Top 25 players list. She earned an honorable mention on the AP Preseason All-American list and was also named to the Katrina McClain Preseason Watchlist Naismith Award Watchlist, the Wooden Award Watchlist and Wade Trophy Preseason Watchlist.
Pili was a WBCA All-American last season and was named an AP and USBWA Second Team All-American. She was the 2023 Pac-12 Player of the Year and earned Pac-12 All-Conference honors.
She ended the 2022-23 season 16th in the nation in scoring averaging 20.7 points per game. She was also 14th in the nation in field goal percentage shooting 59 percent on the year. Pili averaged 5.6 rebounds per game and 2.2 assists per game. She also shot 42 percent from the three and 79 percent from the free throw line.

Utah will hit the road to take on in-state rival Southern Utah Dec. 16 at 5:00 p.m. in Cedar City, Utah. The Utes will return to the Jon M. Huntsman Center Dec. 21 to host the Weber State Wildcats. Pac-12 action is set to start on the road at Colorado Dec. 30.
