SALT LAKE CITY –
The University of Utah's men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recognized as Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of American on Thursday.
On the women's side the Utes finished the fall semester with a GPA of 3.51, while the men posted a mark of 3.30. In order to be chosen for this distinction, a team must be a current CSCAA member and have a team GPA of 3.00 or higher.
Teams earned this status on the basis of their fall 2022 grade point averages and the Utes were two of 803 teams from 479 institutions that garnered recognition by the CSCAA. Those teams represent a combined total of 19,426 student-athletes.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the first organization of college coaches in America - is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
