No. 7 Utah Utes down Oregon Ducks 100-92

EUGENE, Ore. – The No. 7 Utah Utes took down the Oregon Ducks 100-92 in an offensive scoring battle.
Utah advanced to 20-2 overall on the season and 10-2 in Pac-12 play. This ties the best record through 22 games in school history. Oregon is now 14-9 on the season and 5-7 in the Pac-12.
Alissa Pili started the game with some heat, first draining a three pointer just 30 seconds into action and followed it up with a killer drive up the lane for two. Oregon and Utah battled back and forth throughout the rest of the first quarter. Kennedy McQueen hit back-to-back three pointers around the five minute mark. She later drained one from deep and drew a foul to execute a four point play, giving McQueen 10 points in the first quarter. At the end of the first quarter, Utah trailed 23-22.
Utah found a groove late in the second quarter by going on an 11-0 run to take a 47-41 lead at the half.
Oregon pressured Utah in the third quarter and tied it up 64-64 with three minutes to go. Utah powered through to take a 76-71 at the end of the third.
Utah held Oregon to nearly four minutes without a field goal early in the fourth quarter but the Ducks fired back and kept the score within two points going into the final five minutes of play. Utah powered up and went on a 10-3 run thanks in large part to three-pointers by McQueen and Gianna Kneepkens. With the momentum in favor of Utah in the final minutes the Utes pushed on for a 100-92 victory.
Utah was led by Pili who had 30 points, the most points in a single game for her this season. This is her seventh consecutive game scoring 20 or more and her 20th game scoring in consecutive double digits. Pili also broke a career high with six assists. Pili led the team with seven rebounds. Two other Utes also posted six assists in Isabel Palmer and Kneepkens.
Jenna Jonson popped off for 19 points and six boards. McQueen added 16 points including five made from beyond the arc. This is her third time this season with five or more from three point range. Kneepkens ended the game with 15 for the Utes.
COMPARISON
Utah ended the game shooting 62 percent from the field, 52 percent from beyond the arc, and 84 percent from the line.
Oregon finished the game shooting 50 percent from the field, 47 from the three and 64 from the line.
Utah edged ahead of Oregon on the boards 33-31. Utah recorded 11 turnovers to Oregon's six but the Utes outscored the Ducks in the paint 50-36.
STANDOUT STATS
This is the first time in school history Utah has taken down both Oregon State and Oregon on the road in one weekend.
This is the first time Coach Lynne Roberts has gotten a win in Oregon and the first time the Utes have picked up a win here since 2013.
Utah has hit triple digits three times this season.
