ATLANTA – University of Utah Lacrosse true freshman goalkeeper
Colin Lenskold was named the ASUN Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Bellarmine on Saturday, earning his first player of the week honor of his career.
Lenskold was outstanding for the Utes once again, posting 12 saves while only allowing eight goals. His eight goals allowed was the least by an opponent this season while his .600 save percentage was also a career-high.
Against the Knights, Lenskold only allowed four goals in the first half, coming away with eight saves through the first two quarters. He also only allowed one goal in the third quarter with two saves and a caused turnover.
He has had 10-or-more saves in five of Utah's six games and is averaging 13.25 saves per game. Lenskold ranks 13
th nationally and first in the ASUN in saves per game with his 13.25 saves per game also ranking second among freshmen in the country.
He currently has a .497 save percentage overall this season, which ranks second nationally among freshmen.

Utah hits the road for two games, starting at Detroit Mercy on Saturday, March 25 at 11 a.m. MT. Utah will also play at Air Force on Wednesday, March 29 at 12 p.m. MT before returning to Ute Field on Friday, March 31 vs. Jacksonville.
