MEET WEEK
The fifth-ranked Utah Gymnastics team is set to compete at the NCAA Los Angeles Regional this Thursday, March 30, in the NCAA Second Round at 3 p.m. MT. Competing with the Utes in the afternoon session will be #12 Auburn, Southern Utah, and Washington. The meet will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Bart Conner and Kathy Johnson Clarke as the talent.

The evening session at 8 p.m. MT features No. 4 UCLA, No. 13 Missouri, Stanford, and the winner of the play-in round between BYU and Boise State. Â Teams were seeded No. 1-16 based on National Qualifying Scores, while the remaining 20 qualifiers were placed in regions geographically.Â

The top two finishing teams of each session will advance to the NCAA Regional Final on Saturday, April 1, at 6 p.m. MT. All competitions at the Los Angeles Regional will be broadcast on ESPN+. Utah's sessions will also be carried on Utah's flagship radio ESPN 700. Tickets can be found

IN THE RANKINGS
Utah heads to the NCAA tournament ranked fifth in the nation, while all four of its events are ranked in the top-six. Utah's beam team is first in the country for the 10
th consecutive week, while vault is ranked fourth, and bars and floor are sixth. Individually,
Maile O'Keefe leads the team as the No. 1 gymnast in the country on beam. She is also 18
th on bars.
Kara Eaker is ranked fourth in the country on beam as well, while
Cristal Isa is 15
th on beam and 21
st on bars. Also in the top-25 on beam,
Abby Paulson is ranked 23
rd overall. Rounding out Utes individually ranked,
Jaedyn Rucker is 14
th on vault.

• Utah is attempting to advance to a record 47
th-consecutive national championship.

TOP OF THE PAC
• Utah is coming off its third consecutive Pac-12 Championship, which marks the first time a team has won three consecutive titles since the league expanded in 2012.
• Since Utah joined the Pac-12 Conference, the Utes lead the league with six Pac-12 Championships (2014-15, 2017, 2021-23).
• Utah earned a share of the Pac-12 Regular Season title for the second-straight year and has now won the title outright or at least a share every season since its inception in 2020.
• Utah is the only team in the conference that has finished in the top-3 at every conference championship.

AWARD SEASON
Four Utes collected honors for their efforts in the regular season with each earning All-Pac-12 Conference honors and WCGA Regular Season All-America honors on at least one event. Highlighting the awards,
Maile O'Keefe was named the Pac-12 Specialist of the Year for the second year in a row and has now earned a Pac-12 yearly award each of the past three seasons after taking home the 2021 Pac-12 Gymnast of the Year honor. O'Keefe competed as an event specialist for the first seven meets of the season (bars and beam every meet, floor three times) until entering the all-around to close out the season after two injuries to Ute vaulters compelled her to start training the event again.

O'Keefe picked up All-Pac-12 honors on bars and beam, as well as All-America honors on beam. Joining O'Keefe with two All-Pac-12 awards was
Cristal Isa, who also was a bars and beam selection for the Utes.
Kara Eaker earned conference and national honors on beam as well, while
Jaedyn Rucker earned All-Pac-12 and All-America honors on vault for Utah. Eaker and Rucker's selection as WCGA Regular Season All-Americans marks the first of their careers, while O'Keefe and Isa earned their fourth-straight honors on beam.

BY THE NUMBERS
• Utah finished the 2023 home schedule undefeated, going 5-0 in the Jon M. Huntsman Center. It is the fourth year in a row the Red Rocks have gone undefeated at home and the 10th undefeated home season in the last 11 years.
• Utah's 198.550 against Cal (Feb. 24) is the third-best score in program history and the second highest in the nation this season.
• Utah is the only team in the nation to score a 49.7 or better on beam more than twice this season. The Red Rocks have three scores of 49.7 or better on beam in 2023.
• Utah has scored a 49.475 or better on floor seven of the last eight meets.
• Utah has scored a 49.500 or better on bars five of the last seven meets.

UP NEXT
The top two finishing teams from each of the four NCAA Regional sites – Los Angeles, Norman, Pittsburgh, and Denver – will advance to the 2023 NCAA Championships at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The NCAA Championships will have the semifinals held on Thursday, Apr. 13, while the NCAA final will be on Saturday, Apr. 15.
