Â
On court two, Koch and Andrews took the first set 21-17, but fell behind early in the second set and were forced to go to a third. In the third set, the Ute duo went back and forth with the Cardinal pair from start to finish. Koch and Andrews led 11-10, and later found the set tied 12-12. After trading points, the set was tied 15-15, but the Utes gave up consecutive points to see Stanford clinch the dual.
Â
#7 Stanford continued the wins on court three over Karich and Vezzani, while the last court to finish came on court one. Utah's freshmen duo of McAlister and Narancich put up a fight as the pair trailed just 15-13 in the first set before falling 21-15. The pair was right in the second set as well, trailing just 16-15 as the set came to a close, but the Cardinal's top duo closed out the frame on a 5-1 run to win 21-16.
