MEET WEEK
Second-ranked Utah Gymnastics is set to take on some of the best competition in collegiate gymnastics at the Sprouts Farmers Market Collegiate Quad, competing against #1 Oklahoma, #5 LSU, and #12 UCLA from the Maverik Center at 2 p.m. in West Valley City, Utah. The Red Rocks will return to the Maverik Center on Monday, Jan. 15, for another quad-meet competition at the Rio Tinto Best of Utah, competing against #19 BYU, #17 Southern Utah and Utah State at 4:00 p.m. MT.
Saturday's meet will be televised on ABC. The Best of Utah will be live-streamed. Utah's flagship radio ESPN 700 will also broadcast both meets live from the Maverik Center.Â
CHAMPIONSHIP CULTURE
• Utah earned at least a share of the Pac-12 Regular Season title for the fourth-straight year and has now won the title outright or at least a share since its inception in 2020.Â
• Utah has won six Pac-12 Championships, which includes its back-to-back-to-back titles in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Becoming the first team in since the league expanded to win three-straight Pac-12 Championships.
• Utah's six Pac-12 Championships are the most by any team in the conference. Utah has claimed the title in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2021, 2022 and 2023.Â
• Utah is the only team in the conference that has finished in the top-3 at every conference championship.
• Utah hit the 198 mark a program-record five times in 2023, which included a 198.550 against a top 10 California team.
• Utah advanced to a school and NCAA record 47th-straight national championship, remaining the only school in the nation to have appeared in every national championship to date.
QUICK STICKS
• Utah heads into the first quad meet with a winning record against each of the featured opponents. The Red Rocks are 30-17 all-time against the Sooners, with a 15-13 record in neutral site contests.Â
• Utah owns a 36-8 record against LSU, with 28 total meetings being at neutral site venues, the Red Rocks are 24-4 against the Tigers. Â
• UCLA has given the Red Rocks the toughest battle in neutral site meetings, with the Bruins owning a 19-24-1 record. Utah owns the overall margin 63-36-1
• Utah was picked to win the Pac-12 title in the Preseason Coaches Poll. Utah owns the most Pac-12 Championships among Pac-12 institutions with a league-best six Pac-12 Championships (2014, 2015, 2017, 2021, 2022, 2023).
• The Red Rocks return 16 routines from last year's third-place team, including five All-American honorees.Â
• The Red Rocks garnered an individual win in each event to begin the 2024 season, eclipsing the 49.30 mark in bars (49.325), beam (49.375) and floor (49.450).Â

Carly Dockendorf enters her first season leading the Red Rocks program and her seventh overall. Utah's coaching staff is in its third year together as a whole, with
Jimmy Pratt and
Myia Hambrick returning to assist Dockendorf.
• Utah returns 16-of-24 routines from last year's third-place finish at the NCAA Championship
• Utah is coming off its fourth consecutive Pac-12 Regular Season Championship, third-straight and sixth Pac-12 Championship, and an NCAA Regional title.

Makenna Smith looks to keep building in her sophomore season, coming off an inagural Red Rocks season that saw her hit 47-47 routines. The Albuquerque native, earned NCAA All-American honors on vault. Â
• Smith competed in the all-around five times, and was a starter on vault every meet, floor all but one competition, bars 13 times, and beam six times for the Red Rocks.
STANDOUT STATS
•  2023 was the third consecutive year a Red Rock claimed a national crown after
Jaedyn Rucker's vault title marked the second year in a row in 2022.
• The Red Rocks posted six scores of 9.90 or better in the season-opening meet against Boise State.

Makenna Smith posted her first all-around win of 2024, adding a first-place finish on vault with a score of 9.90
• The Red Rocks have an individual ranked in the top-25 in each event, with
Grace McCallum making her way into the top 25 in three events (bars, beam, floor)
UP NEXT
After a week off, Utah will return to the Jon M. Huntsman Center to begin Pac-12 action hosting Arizona State and celebrating Red Rocks Philanthropy Night. The Pac-12 clash between the Utes and the Sun Devils will begin with introductions at 5:45 p.m. MT.Â
ESPN INVITE PREVIEW
• Oklahoma remains the top team in the nation after posting a 197.850 in their opening competition of the season. The Sooners were one of just four schools to post a 197-plus score in the first week of competition.Â
• Oklahoma defeated #9 Kentucky (196.775), #11 Michigan State 196.300, and #6 Michigan (195.875).
• Oklahoma had seven Sooners earn 17 individual rankings, including their entire bars lineup ranking in the top 25.
• LSU comes off a win over #14 Ohio State in opening weekend, 196.975-196.775.
• Six LSU gymnasts earned individual rankings in the top 25 after the first weekend.
• UCLA placed fourth in the season-opening Super 16 with a score of 196.550, finishing behind Alabama (197.125), California (196.850), and Auburn (196.600).
BEST OF UTAH PREVIEW
• BYU took fourth place at the Super 16 season-opener event over the weekend, finishing with a score of 195.900. The Cougars finished behind Southern Utah (196.025), Oregon State (196.525), and winner Minnesota (196.850).Â
• Southern Utah garnered a third-place finish as a team, as freshman Niya Randolph took third place in the all-around competition with a score of 39.300.Â
• Southern Utah cracked the 49 mark in a pair of events as a team, scoring a 49.050 on vault and a 49.300 on bars in their final rotation of the meet.Â
• Utah State's gymnastics team posted a season-opening 193.175 to place fourth at the North Carolina-hosted quad meet.
• Senior Lexi Aragon's beam routine was the highlight of the Utah State performance as she recorded a career-high 9.850 and tied for first in the event. The Aggies had their best rotation of the night on beam with a 48.650.

Maile O'Keefe has officially put her name at the top of the record books, breaking the record for the most 10s on beam in a career.Â
• O'Keefe has pushed her career total 10.0 perfect scores to 12 and now sits as the program record holder for most 10s on beam in a season (6) and a career (11).Â
• The Las Vegas native is a four-time national champion (bars and floor, 2021; beam and all-around, 2023)
• She boasts 66 career victories and has hit 183-185 career routines.
• O'Keefe became the first Ute in history to record a perfect score on beam at the NCAA Championships where she recorded consecutive 10.0s at the 2023 semifinal and final
• O'Keefe picked up right where she left off a year ago, scoring a 10.0 in her first beam routine of 2024.
• O'Keefe is currently the top ranked beam performer in the nation.
AMAZING GRACE
•  After suffering a knee injury in the fifth meet of the 2023 season,
Grace McCallum returned for the NCAA Championships to claim the runner-up title on bars with a score of 9.9375.Â
•  McCallum's sophomore season consisted of eight event victories. She scored a 9.925 or better in six of seven bar routines. Adding a 9.925 or better in four of five floor routines during the 2023 campaign.
• Won the all-around twice in 2023 with victories at the Rio Tinto Best of Utah and against Washington.
• Has hit seven consecutive routines dating back to 2023
SUPER SENIOR LEADERSHIP
•  Utah returns three fifth-year seniors to the squad in 2024 including
Maile O'Keefe,
Abby Paulson and
Jaedyn Rucker.
•  With a combined 95 event wins amongst the trio, O'Keefe has tallied 66 wins during her Red Rocks career, 31 on beam, 14 on bars, eight on floor, two vault and 11 all-around.Â
• Â
Maile O'Keefe has set the single-season record for 10.0 scores on beam in back-to-back seasons, posting three in 2022 and doubling her total in 2023 with six.
•  Rucker secured 15 event wins, with 12 on vault and three floor victories. She has three perfect 10.0 career vaults all of which she hit during the 2023 season.
•  Paulson adds 14 event wins to the tally with 11 wins on beam and three on floor. Â
NEW KIDS TO THE ROCKS
• Utah welcomes five new faces to the Red Rocks squad this year, with the addition of
Elizabeth Gantner,
Olivia Kennedy,
Camie Winger,
Ella Zirbes; along with Temple University transfer
Ashley Glynn.
• The four freshmen bring in national championship-caliber routines. Gantner was the 2021 Level 10 National Champion on bars and beam, claiming the runner-up spot in the all-around.Â
• An Orem native,
Camie Winger, earned a pair of back-to-back runner-up titles in 2021 and 2022 at the Level 10 National Championships on floor and bars. Winger added a top-five finish, taking fourth-place in the all-around at the 2022 and 2023 Level 10 Championships.

Ella Zirbes brings a pair of national titles with her to Salt Lake City, winning the 2019 and 2023 all-around and the bars crown at the Level 10 Championships.
TOP BEAM TEAM IS BACK
• Utah finished the 2023 regular season as the nation's top-ranked beam team after posting a NQS of 49.670 and returns four of six routines from a year ago.
• Utah returns the NCAA Champion on beam,
Maile O'Keefe, after earning a pair of All-American honors during the regular season and the NCAA Championships.Â

Amelie Morgan tallied a 9.875 or better on beam in seven competitions, including a 9.9125 at the NCAA Final.
