SAN FRANSISCO – After a weekend in which the University of Utah swim team collected a stack of new Richards Building Pool records during their meet against BYU,
Jaek Horner's performance was good enough for him to take home Pac-12 Men's Swimmer of the Week honors.
Horner's work in Provo included posting a time of 52.21 in the 100 breast, putting him in first and breaking the previous pool best. This marked the fifth time Horner has won the 100 breast in 2023-24. He also took second in the 200 breast at 1:56.04, which beat the previous fastest time at Richards Pool as well.
Horner is the first Ute to win this award since
Evan VanBrocklin was chosen for the honor in January of 2023.
