SALT LAKE CITY –
In what has become an almost semi-annual ritual for the program, the University of Utah men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recently recognized with CSCAA Scholar All-America awards.
The Utes qualified for these awards by maintaining high GPAs during the most recent semester, when the Utah women's squad crafted a mark of 3.53 and the men's swimmers and divers finished at 3.27. For the women's squad, they've now earned this honor for 22 consecutive semesters while the men's team has taken home Scholar All-America honors for the 21st time in the last 22 semesters.
In order to qualify for this prestigious recognition, teams had to exhibit exceptional grade point averages during the Fall 2023 semester. Of the selected teams, those who achieved a GPA of 3.30 or above earned eligibility for the Intercollegiate Coach Association Coalition All-Sport Academic Standings.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the first organization of college coaches in America - is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
