INDIANAPOLIS – For the third straight season,
Jaek Horner has earned the right to represent the University of Utah swimming and diving team at the NCAA Championships and he'll be competing in three events in Indianapolis, swimming in the 100 breast, the 200 breast and the 100 free.
Horner spent the 2023-24 season piling up 11 total victories, the highest total on Utah's men's squad and he reset his own program records in both the 100 breast and 200 breast, while recording the sixth-quickest time in school history in the 100 free. His efforts also earned him back-to-back Pac-12 Swimmer of the Week awards in February.
This will be Horner's first opportunity to compete in the 100 free at Nationals, but his second consecutive season swimming in the 100 and 200 breaststroke. He also attained All-American status in 2022 as a member of Utah's 200 medley relay team.
Horner will be competing at the NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held March 27-30 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis.
