UTAH LACROSSE: NEED TO KNOWS
- Utah is in its third season in the ASUN, coming off back-to-back ASUN regular season titles (2022, 2023) and the 2023 ASUN Championship.
- Utah leads the ASUN in scoring offense (12.50), also ranking second in assists (7.00), ground balls (31.75) and points per game (19.50).
- Utah has 11 players with two-or-more goals this season and 20 total that have scored at least one.
- Utah is in its sixth year as a Division I program, accumulating 38 wins during that period while also earning its first NCAA Championships berth in 2023.
- Utah was voted to win the ASUN in the preseason coaches poll, the third-straight year that Utah has earned at least a share of the No. 1 preseason ranking in the league.
LAST TIME OUT
It was a dominating win at Ute Field on March 23 with the Utes beating Detroit Mercy, 21-9. It was the seventh time in program history, all coming in the
Andrew McMinn era, that the Utes reached the 20-point mark in a game.
- Utah's 15 assists against the Titans was a new school record and is the second-most in the ASUN this season.
- Utah's 36 points in the game ranks second all-time at Utah and is the third-most in the ASUN.
- The Utes had 12 different players score in the game, led by Jordan Hyde, who had seven points on five goals and two assists.

ASUN PLAY
Utah is in its third year in the ASUN Conference after playing as an independent in Division I lacrosse in its first three years as a program.Â
- Utah is 15-1 in regular season ASUN games, going 5-0 in 2022 and 9-0 in 2023 to win back-to-back regular season titles.
- Utah won the ASUN Championship in 2023, beating Air Force 11-9 to earn its first-ever berth into the NCAA Championships. Utah also appeared in the ASUN Championship game in 2022, its first year in the conference.
- For three straight years, Utah has been voted No. 1 in the preseason ASUN Coaches Poll.
- In 2023, Andrew McMinn won ASUN Coach of the Year with Ryan Stines earning Freshman of the Year and Tyler Bradbury being Scholar-Athlete of the Year. In 2022, Bradbury was named Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year with Samuel Cambere also being named Defensive Player of the Year while McMinn won his first Coach of the Year title as a part of the ASUN.
- Utah has broken 13 team and individual single-game school records in ASUN play since 2022.Â

SUCCESS FROM THE GROUND UP
Utah's ground ball game has been atop the ASUN since joining the league in 2022, and looks to continue to be a spot of success in 2024.
- The Utes rank second in the ASUN and in the top-30 in the NCAA in ground balls per game, averaging 31.75.
- The Utes are the only team in the ASUN with three different players ranked in the top-10 in the league in GBs per game (Bryce Madden, 4th, 4.14; Nikko DiPonio, 6th, 3.88; Joey Boylston, 8th, 3.63).
- Utah has had 30-or-more ground balls in six of its eight games this season, including hitting the 40 mark in the last two (40 vs. Air Force, 41 vs. Detroit Mercy).
- Utah has 25 games in the McMinn era with 30+ ground balls, which includes 13 games with 40+.
- Utah is 19-6 since 2022 when producing 30-or-more ground balls.
- Utah had 30-or-more ground balls in 12 straight games in 2023, the longest streak in school history.
- The school record for single-game ground balls is 55, which took place against Westminster in 2021.

CAUSING CHAOS
Utah's defense continues to be known for its sticky sticks, recording 8.38 caused turnovers through eight games this year.Â
- The Utes ranks third in the ASUN and 28th nationally in CTOs this season.Â
- Utah has had eight-or-more caused turnovers in six of the eight games this season.
- The Utes have had two games with 12 CTOs (at Ohio State, vs. Detroit Mercy), giving Utah nine games in the McMinn era that the Utes have had 10+ CTOs in a game.
- Utah has 15 players with two-or-more caused turnovers this season and 18 that have at least one.
- Out of 192 players in Division I lacrosse, senior Joey Boylston and sophomore Nikko DiPonio rank inside the top-40. Boylston ranks 19th (3rd in the ASUN) with 1.88 per game and DiPonio sits at No. 38 (6th in the ASUN) with 1.50.

HELPING HAND
Through eight games in 2024, Utah is averaging 7.00 assists per game, which ranks 29th nationally and second in the ASUN.
- In non-conference play (five games), Utah only averaged 4.0 assists. In the last three games, Utah has averaged 10.7.
- Utah has three games this season with 10+ assists (15 vs. Detroit Mercy, 12 vs. Vermont, 10 vs. Air Force) and 21 in program history.
- Utah's 15 assists against Detroit Mercy was a new school record, beating the previous record of 14 that was set last against Mercer last season.
- Since 2020, Utah has produced 429 assists with senior Tyler Bradbury accounting for 21% of them (91). He holds the all-time record for career assists, which also ranks second among all active ASUN players this year.

YEAR 6
The Utes are in their sixth year as a Division I program after making the transition from a club team in 2019.
- Utah is 38-33 all-time as a Division I team with 26 of those victories coming under the direction of head coach Andrew McMinn.
- McMinn is in his third year with the program and has a career record of 102-78 and a record of 26-13 at Utah.
- Since 2022, Utah has broken over 70 school records, including single-season points, goals, assists, ground balls, faceoff wins and team wins.
